Custom Combined Bearings with Extended Studs: selection, replacement and quotation support
Combined bearings can be supplied with a longer pin axis (munhão / extended stud) for equipment where the standard shaft length does not reach the mounting structure.
Cross references and catalog data support preliminary identification. Confirm the current drawing, load capacity, tolerances and application requirements before ordering. See the industrial bearing RFQ checklist for the full data set.
What an extended stud means
The pin or shaft that carries the bearing can be made longer than the catalog length so the bearing seats against a thicker plate, bracket or welded structure. The bearing envelope (d, D, B) stays the same; only the pin axis changes.
- Same radial and axial roller envelope
- Longer pin axis to reach the mounting face
- Welded-plate or bolt-on fitment
Why some equipment need a longer pin
Machine makers often integrate the bearing into a fabricated bracket where the standard shaft falls short. A longer pin removes the need for a spacer or a modified bracket on the customer side.
- Thick fabricated brackets and plates
- Retrofit into an existing machine envelope
- Equipment-specific assembly geometry
Specify the pin length from the drawing
Adjacent references can share the same bearing envelope and differ only in pin or shaft length. That dimension is not always on the first page of the drawing, so it must be confirmed before quotation. Our Danieli reference experience shows two numbers that differ only in pin length.
- 46999156 and 46999157 share the same bearing envelope
- The two references differ only in pin-axis (munhão) length
- Send the complete drawing, not only page 1 of 5
Genuine-equivalent and aftermarket supply routes
The same extended-stud reference can be supplied two ways: a drawing-matched genuine-equivalent execution or a cost-optimised aftermarket execution. Both are released only after fitment verification against dimensions, duty and the controlled drawing.
- Genuine-equivalent: drawing-matched, for OEM-grade replacement
- Aftermarket: cost-optimised running production item
- Fitment verified before quotation on either route
Information required for custom combined bearings with extended studs quotation
- 1 Identify — model, suffix and machine reference
- 2 Measure — envelope and mounting dimensions
- 3 Describe duty — load, speed, shock and environment

Custom Combined Bearings with Extended Studs FAQ
How do I specify custom combined bearings with extended studs?
Send the complete model, all suffixes, quantity, delivery country and a controlled drawing when available. Also state load, speed, environment and mounting details.
Can you verify an equivalent custom combined bearings with extended studs?
Yes. Cross-reference numbers start the review, but interchangeability is confirmed from dimensions, internal design, adjustment, load capacity, lubrication and operating conditions.
What information is required for a quotation?
Provide the old marking, photos or drawing, critical dimensions, application, quantity and destination. Required inspection documents should be stated before quotation.
Technical note: This guide supports preliminary sourcing. Confirm the controlled drawing, tolerances, load capacity and application requirements before ordering. Return to the solutions library, browse bearing products or review quality and inspection scope.
